COWBOY DAYS / LABOR DAY PARADE
Monday, September 1st, 2008
10:00 a.m. - Front Street, Evanston

The Bear River Riders will excitedly be participating in the 72nd Annual Evanston Cowboy Days - Labor Day Parade on Monday, September 1st, 2008. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. and travel along Front Street to Main Street in Evanston, Wyoming.

We plan to meet the morning of the parade at 9:00 a.m. behind the ball fields.

Riders of all ages are encouraged to join the Club in this parade, but each rider MUST be able to control their own horse (or be ponied on a leadline with another person). You will need to be able to ride in a formation and keep the pace through the WHOLE parade (no long gaps and no pushing into the group ahead). There will be a flag carrier, so your horse will need to accept being near a waiving flag.

The club will ALSO be pulling a WAGON for those who do not have a horse to ride in the parade.

Required dress for the parade is as follows: Cowboy hat, jeans, long-sleeved button down shirt (western type), and western tack for your horse. ***PLEASE NOTE: Children under the age of 10 riding a horse in the parade will be REQUIRED to wear a helmet for safety reasons.

You MUST be a member of the Club! There will be a sign-up sheet at the July and August horse shows. You may also sign-up by calling Janelle at (307) 677-4490 or send an email to bearriverriders@yahoo.com.

DID YOU KNOW: Participating in the parade with the club (and helping out) ALSO COUNTS as your TWO HOURS of volunteer time!

Here is your chance to ride with pride in front of our home town!
